The Brazilian Day Festival Atlanta (BDFA)
began as a small community celebration of Brazilian Independence Day.
But with the growing population of Brazilian and Latin Americans in
Atlanta this event expanded to a formal public festival in 2011
attracting over 1000 participants in its first year.
Unlike other Brazilian themed events like Carnival and Brazilian Day New York that bring talent from out of the country to perform, the Brazilian Day Festival Atlanta prides itself with using community talent and resources to put on a open and free event. All are welcome and bringing family and friends is encouraged. This is truly an event 'In the Community, For the Community'.
Every year Brazilian Day supports scholarships, programs, projects and those in need in the community. This year we are looking to continue this tradition with your help. We are looking accepting applicants to receive this year's Community Outreach Endowment.
